SteampunkGuides.com is run by Garrett and Ayiden, who both also run SpeculativeMinds.com.  The idea was conceived last summer when Ayiden, who participates in Steampunk Cosplay, was assembling a costume for a convention.  While searching for help on how to make certain things, he discovered that there was no collective place for this information.  So he got with Garrett and they started a steampunk community.  Now, they’re building a steampunk guide website!
